چکیده
Using aquaculture effluent (AE) to fertigate plants is gaining popularity worldwide. However, in substrate-based systems, the choice of substrate essential due their effects on crop productivity. Differences retention nutrients by substrates makes it necessary assess suitability for use AE. This study was conducted from January July 2016 and September October 2019 evaluate greenhouse-grown Beit Alpha cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. ‘Socrates’) performance fertigated with AE pine bark or perlite substrates, grown either as one plant two per pot. A 2 × factorial arrangement a randomized complete block design four replications each season used. The effect yield depended density season. pooled over seasons showed had significantly higher than 11% pot but lowered same amount In 2019, reduced leachate pH both densities EC about 15% foliar boron occasionally below sufficiency whilst manganese above its inherently low pH. We conclude that dependent number Therefore, local availability bark, could be potential substitute especially when using addition, used an intermediate reduce downstream use.

Biofloc Production Systems for Aquaculture
Biofloc systems were developed to improve environmental control over production. In places where water is scarce or land is expensive, more intensive forms of aquaculture must be practiced for cost-effective production. There are strong economic incentives for an aquaculture business to be more efficient with production inputs, especially the most costly (feed) and most limiting (water or land)...

the selection of a growing medium is one of the most important decisions in the culture of hydroponic crops. in order to select a suitable medium for hydroponic cucumber (cucumis sativus l. cv. negin), an experiment was carried out on growing media containing different particle sizes of perlite and organic substrates in a run-to-waste system in a greenhouse experiment. the growing media tested ...
